The methodology

FameAI.The analytical engine that measures how a brand collects its reviews.

It reads public sources, processes the data with proprietary models and produces indices validated by an analyst. Transparent in its methodology, confidential in its calculation models.

The sources

The analysis does not stop at a single platform.

Every source has a different population of reviewers and a different way of collecting, so the score of one platform on its own says very little. Fametrue reads them together, because it is the comparison between sources that shows whether the picture holds.

Review platforms

Where the review is the product and the invitation can be managed by the brand.

Maps and directories

Where the rating comes from someone who looked the brand up for other reasons.

Social, forums and marketplaces

Where the brand is discussed without anyone having asked for a rating.

Each source is weighted according to how much control the brand can exercise over it.

The indices

Three indices. One complete picture.

Each index measures a different dimension of the reputational profile, and no public score can replace them, because no public score is built to measure itself.

FameIntegrity

Measures how sound the process is by which a brand collects reviews, comparing the published score with the structural signals of the sources.

FameIndex

Estimates the real perception of customers, correcting the structural bias of unprompted reviews. When the distance from the public score is significant, the collection is not representative.

FameRisk

Translates the reputational profile into economic exposure, crossing the integrity of the process with sector, company size, visibility and enforcement precedents.

Fametrue measures, it does not intervene in the brand's collection process.

Public score and real perception

The score you see and what customers actually think.

The public score does not come from the customer base, it comes from whoever was put in a position to write. FameIndex estimates the actual experience instead, correcting both the selection of invitations and the imbalance of unprompted reviews. The distance between the two values measures how representative the collection is.

The distance widens where reviews are solicited selectively, and closes where they are not solicited at all.

The platform

The results, available in a dedicated dashboard.

Every analysed brand has a private dashboard with indices, signals, trends and sector benchmarks. The profile is updated over time, and when something relevant changes on the monitored platforms the dashboard reflects it.
