Famecert is the independent certification standard developed by Fametrue for the correct collection and management of online reviews.
It does not certify the quality of a brand's product or service. It certifies that the process by which a brand collects and manages public customer feedback complies with current regulations and the principles of authenticity and representativeness.
A Famecert-certified brand has demonstrated, through an independent audit, that its collection process complies with the standard's criteria.
Online reviews influence the purchasing decisions of millions of consumers every day. Their manipulation is an unfair commercial practice under European and Italian law, with significant legal consequences for companies that adopt it.
Famecert was created to offer companies a proactive compliance tool, and consumers a verifiable guarantee of authenticity.
AI engines are becoming the first point of contact for purchasing decisions. As they evolve in their ability to assess source reliability, they will reward brands that can demonstrate the integrity of their collection process. Independent certification is not just regulatory compliance: it's a signal of reliability that the AI ecosystem will learn to recognise.
Famecert certification evaluates three areas. Operational details (thresholds, benchmarks, verification methods) are defined in the certification agreement and technical documents reserved for brands that begin the journey.
The journey is structured in five phases. The overall duration depends on the brand's starting position and speed of adaptation.
Assessment of the current situation through the Fametrue platform.
Definition of the actions needed to meet Famecert criteria, with an agreed timeline.
Independent verification of compliance with all criteria by Fametrue.
The brand receives the Famecert badge and is listed in the public register of certified brands.
Continuous platform monitoring and annual renewal through dedicated audit.
The Famecert certificate is valid for 12 months. Renewal is through annual audit. Throughout the certificate's duration, the Fametrue platform continuously monitors the brand's reputational profile. This is what distinguishes Famecert from any certification based solely on periodic audits.
The certificate lapses in three cases: failure to renew the annual audit, interruption of continuous monitoring, or detection of criteria violation during the year of validity.
Suspension and revocation are always public. The brand is removed from the list of certified brands and loses the right to display the Famecert badge on any channel.
